One more school day then a weekend of fun is ahead of me. So happy
When I say “please don’t take a picture of me” it’s not because I’m being bitchy and stubborn, it’s because if I see that picture I will seriously feel so bad about myself and think I am the ugliest thing on earth and sink a little deeper into self consciousness and hatred.
and before anyone says anything about selfies- those are controlled photos.
So I’m a principles aid for a period and I have college prep math which is basically easy math even though I’m really good at math but anyhow I was late to class with a pass from the principal, told my teacher precisely why I was late and she told me that it wasn’t a good reason to be late but as soon as she saw I had a chocolate chip bagel from panera that the office got for staff all of a sudden she was super nice and was like “oh I didn’t realize you were a PRINCIPLES aid! You should bring me a bagel next time! :~)” and I was just like “…yeah okay”
Lillian Weber, a 99-year-old good Samaritan from Iowa, has spent the last few years sewing a dress a day for the Little Dresses For Africa charity, a Christian organization that distributes dresses to children in need in Africa and elsewhere.
Weber’s goal is to make 1,000 dresses by the time she turns 100 on May 6th. So far, she’s made more than 840. Though she says she could make two a day, she only makes one – but each single dress she makes per day is personalized with careful stitchwork. She hopes that each little girl who receives her dress can take pride in her new garment.
